When should the grit go?
When the snow has melted and the grit is dry. Do not brush wet grit into the lawn. It sinks in and stays there.
Won't the rain take it?
No. Rain pushes it into paving joints, the base of the lawn and the storm drain. The drain blocks, and in summer the yard turns to dust.
Can I sweep it myself?
A short path, yes. A whole housing company yard, parking bays and a play area are a different scale. A broom and a wheelbarrow are not enough when the grit is centimetres deep.
What happens if it stays?
The lawn suffers, the paving goes uneven, and in autumn the same grit is in the wrong place again. Property maintenance takes the grit away in spring and looks at what winter did to the yard.
Is there a hurry?
Yes, if the grit has time to work into the planting. You will not get it out of there cleanly later.
How do you do the job?
We collect the grit in the way the site needs and take it away. The yard stays in use. It does not stay a sand field.
